Belt conveyor is also known as belt conveyor. The belt moves according to the principle of friction transmission. It is suitable for conveying easy to take powder, granular, small pieces of low abrasive materials and bagged materials, such as coal, gravel, sand, cement, chemical fertilizer, grain, etc. The belt conveyor can be used in the ambient temperature range of - 20 ℃ to + 40 ℃, and the temperature of the delivered material is less than 60 ℃. The captain and assembly form can be determined according to the user's requirements. The transmission can be electric roller or drive device with drive frame.
(1) the traction of the belt conveyor is transmitted through the friction between the driving drum and the belt, so the belt must be tensioned by the tension device, so that the belt has a certain initial tension at the separation of the drum.
(2) the belt runs on the idler together with the cargo. The belt is not only a traction mechanism, but also a bearing mechanism. There is no relative movement between the cargo and the belt, which eliminates the friction resistance between the belt and the cargo in operation. Because the roller is equipped with rolling bearing, the belt and roller are rolling friction, so the running resistance is greatly reduced, thus reducing the power consumption and increasing the transportation distance. For a belt conveyor, its traction transmission capacity is determined by the belt tension, the wrapping angle of the belt on the driving drum and the friction coefficient between the belt and the driving drum. In order to ensure that the belt of the belt conveyor does not slip on the transmission drum and runs normally, corresponding measures should be taken according to different situations in production practice.
The belt conveyor has the advantages of strong conveying capacity, long conveying distance, simple structure, easy maintenance, convenient programmed control and automatic operation. The continuous or intermittent movement of the conveyor belt is used to transport articles under 100kg or powdery or granular articles. It runs with high speed, stable, low noise and can be transported up and down the slope.
